Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is a research-driven, global, fully integrated pharmaceutical company headquartered at Mumbai, India. It employs over 5,000 people across its global operations and its shares are listed on India’s two large stock exchanges, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The Company has sales in about 80 countries and an established presence in India, USA and many other countries within Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia and maintains marketing front-ends in these countries. Within Europe, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has operations in United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania and now is seeking for an office space for its new operations in Poland. Glenmark also recently acquired a range of branded products in Poland with turnover of around EUR 8m per year.

The Company has several state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in India, at Goa, Baddi, and Ankleshwar which are approved by US FDA, TPD (Canada), UK MHRA and many other international regulatory authorities. It also owns a manufacturing and distribution site in Vysoke Myto (Czech Republic).

Glenmark commenced its European operations by establishing a wholly-owned subsidiary in the United Kingdom in 2004. The generic business in Europe has a robust product portfolio developed by a Europe-dedicated R&D team and has excellent supply chain resources; being vertically integrated from chemistry to manufacturing.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has signed landmark deals with many major multinational companies for the development and marketing of its leading new chemical entity (NCE) projects, which have been created at its own research facilities. Partners such as Forest (US), Merck (Worldwide), Lilly (Worldwide) and Teijin (Japan) have concluded deals with Glenmark for these products totaling about USD 800 million in upfront and milestone payments. It also has biological research facilities in Neuchatel, Switzerland, with nearly 50 scientists developing new products in this exciting area of pharmaceutical development.
